Pittsfield Green Commission: Discussing Ban on Single-Use Plastic Bags

no-plastic-bagsThe Pittsfield Green Commission will be meeting to discuss the proposed ban on single-use plastic bags introduced by Rinaldo Del Gallo in 2014.  It is hoped that Peter Hoffman of the Lee Recycling Commission and Eric Federer of the Lenox Environmental Committee will be able to attend.  Mr. Hoffman and Mr. Federer will speak about their successful efforts in Lee and Lenox to ban Styrofoam and single-use plastic bags (both have confirmed).  Both the Lee and Lenox bans started with tabled Citizens Petitions for a Warrant Article at a Town Meeting filed by Rinaldo Del Gallo

The meeting will take place in Pittsfield City Hall,  70 Allen Street, Pittsfield, MA at 5:30 PM.
